How to Install or Replace a Jump Liner
- IMPORTANT! Turn off power.
- Remove nozzle, insulator, contact tip, gas diffuser and neck from gun.
- Remove old Jump Liner from the back end of the neck.
- Insert new Jump Liner making sure the liner stop is fully seated at back end of neck.
- Take the tapered end of the neck and insert into the end fitting of the gun handle. Make sure that the liner extruding from the handle is trimmed to 1/4″ beyond the gun handle to ensure proper fit up to new Jump Liner. Secure the neck to the gun by turning the insulated nut clockwise.
- Trim the liner at the nozzle of the neck as follows:
- D-A1-C and D-A2-C AccuLock™ S gas diffuser = 3/4”
- DS-A1-C and DS-A2-C AccuLock™ S gas diffuser = 5/8”
- DS-1 and D-1 Centerfire gas diffuser = 9/16”
- All Tough Lock® retaining heads = 3/4”
- D118Q Quik Tip™ gas diffuser = 7/8”
- D114Q Quik Tip™ gas diffuser = 3/4”
- 4235 and 4635 Elliptical gas diffuser (used with 1500 series contact tips) = 3/8”
- 4335 and 4435 gas diffuser (used with 7400 series contact tips) = 1-3/8”
- File the cut end of the liner to eliminate burrs.
- Reinstall the cap, gas diffuser, contact tip and nozzle.

How to Install a Jump Liner (Gasless Application)
(Applies to Necks: 1370239, 1370240, 1370241, 1370242, & 7010068)
- Follow steps 1-4 from above, disregarding nozzle and gas diffuser in step 2
- Trim jump liner flush with gasless neck.
- Remove the jump liner and trim an additional
7/16” to ensure proper fit up to the contact tip - Re-insert the jump liner
- Follow step 5 from left
- Proceed to step 7 and 8 from left disregarding
nozzle and gas diffuser
