Official Rules and Terms of Participation

CHALLENGE OVERVIEW
The Torch Installation Challenge is a timed, hands-on competition where participants install and uninstall the Tregaskiss® Atlas™ Robotic ThruArm Air-Cooled MIG Torch on a custom Atlas Robot Stand designed to mimic a robotic face. The goal: complete a correct and full installation and uninstallation as fast as possible.
The three fastest verified times during the challenge window will each win a Blackstone 36” Omnivore Griddle with Hood.

LOCATION & SCHEDULE
- Location: ITW Welding Booth – FABTECH 2025, McCormick Place, Chicago, IL
- Dates: September 8–11, 2025
- Challenge Times (Daily):
- 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Only times recorded during these official sessions will qualify.
PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY
- Must be 18 years or older and a legal resident of the U.S. or Canada (excluding Quebec).
- One entry per person per day.
- Waiver must be signed before participating.
- Participants must be on-site at the event booth.
- All installations must be completed individually.
- Safety goggles must be worn throughout the attempt.
CHALLENGE PROCEDURE
Setup:
Participants will be provided with:
- A disassembled Atlas™ Torch
- Required tools and parts
- Reference instruction sheet
- Access to a video tutorial
- A custom Atlas Robot Stand simulating a robotic face
Timing & Execution:
- Press the green START button to begin.
- Fully install the torch onto the robot stand using only provided components.
- Once installation is complete, pause for two seconds with hands off the torch.
- Then, fully uninstall the torch, including removing the faceplate from the stand.
- Press the red STOP button to log your official time.
- Time is only recorded if the red button is pressed after full uninstallation.
Judging Criteria:
- Torch must be fully and correctly installed and uninstalled.
- No loose or missing fasteners.
- No skipped steps or safety violations.
- A judge will verify each attempt before time is accepted.
SCORING & PRIZES
- Only verified, correct installations and uninstallations are eligible.
- A live leaderboard will be displayed at the booth.
- Top 3 fastest verified participants will each win:
- One Blackstone 36” Omnivore Griddle with Hood
- Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $549 USD
Winner Notification & Fulfillment:
- Winners will be notified by email or phone on or around September 12, 2025.
- Prizes will be shipped to winners’ addresses in the U.S. or Canada (excluding Quebec).
- Allow 4–6 weeks for delivery.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Safety goggles must be worn at all times.
- Unsafe behavior will result in immediate disqualification.
DISQUALIFICATION CONDITIONS
Participants will be disqualified if they:
- Leave any part of the installation or uninstallation incomplete or unsecured.
- Fail to wear safety goggles.
- Enter more than once per day.
- Damage tools, materials, or booth property.
ADDITIONAL TERMS
- By entering, participants grant permission for Bernard® Tregaskiss® and ITW Welding to use their name, likeness, and recorded time for promotional purposes.
- Rules are subject to change by event staff. Updates will be communicated at the booth.
- Participants must provide accurate shipping information to receive prizes.
- Bernard® Tregaskiss® and ITW Welding are not responsible for shipping delays or incorrect contact details.
