Firmware and Software Update for the TOUGH GUN TT3E Reamer
December 2, 2019
Effective November 15, 2019, the TOUGH GUN® TT3E (Ethernet) reamer is now running updated firmware and software. The ARGEE software has been updated from version 4.0 to 4.1, and the firmware from version 3.5 to 3.6.
What’s New?
- Firmware: Allows the Turck ARGEE 4.1 software to be loaded through the Turck Service IP Tool.
- Software: Spray time was reduced from 250 milliseconds to 1 millisecond, allowing full control over spray time via the robot controller rather than the reamer.
Compatibility
- ARGEE 4.1 software can run on firmware 3.5, however, ARGEE 4.0 cannot operate on firmware 3.6.
- The HMI that is currently available for download on the Tregaskiss.com website is compatible with ARGEE 4.1 only. If you are running ARGEE 4.0, please download the compatible HMI from the Resources tab on the TOUGH GUN TT3E Reamer webpage.

October 23, 2019 Tregaskiss is pleased to announce the launch of new AccuLock™ R consumables, a system designed to maximize throughput and efficiency with minimal risk and effort. AccuLock contact tips last longer and are virtually impossible to cross-thread. August 20, 2019 Effective immediately, a new, enhanced AccuLock™ S power pin is now available for Miller® equipment. This new power pin is designed specifically for use with the new Bernard® AccuLock S consumable system to optimize performance. July 1, 2018 Tregaskiss has made changes to its 5-Gallon (18.9 L) TOUGH GARD® anti-spatter liquid pail design for increased strength and durability. Designed with a heavy duty integrated handle, this new container is easier to handle and can be easily stacked for maximized storage space. The new design also offers an improved seal to eliminate spillage during shipping. Like the former pail design, this new 5-Gallon container is compatible with the TOUGH GARD anti-spatter multi-feed system. August 1, 2019 To continue delivering sustainable value to our customers, we regularly assess our product offering to ensure focus and opportunities to innovate our product portfolio. Accordingly, due to low demand, we are discontinuing the 500 amp B Series Handle option from our BTB MIG gun offering. Effective August 16, 2019, the following part numbers will no longer be available: Please note that a comparable replacement is the O Series Handle option, which is also configurable in our BTB MIG gun product line. July 30, 2019 Tregaskiss has made the following changes to its TOUGH GUN® reamer cutter blades: The above changes will be implemented as a running change and will be sold under the same part numbers as the previous design.

November 1, 2018 Bernard is proud to introduce new AccuLock™ S consumables, a system designed to address liner trim length errors and erratic wire feeding. Important Note: Most components of the AccuLock S consumables family are currently available. The complete offering will be coming soon. The AccuLock S liner is locked and concentrically aligned to both the contact tip and the power pin without the use of fasteners, which provides a flawless wire-feed path that guarantees smooth, uninterrupted delivery of the wire to the weld puddle. Plus, the liner replacement process has been error-proofed so you can trim your liner accurately and easily every time, with no measuring. The AccuLock S consumables system requires all AccuLock components: contact tip, diffuser, nozzle, liner, neck insulator, power pin and power pin cap.
November 1, 2018 Customers may notice that some Bernard® parts and consumables are arriving in different bags. We transitioned to a newly designed Bernard branded white bag design. In addition to changing the artwork layout and color of the bags, the overall usability has also been improved. These new white bags offer a clear window on the printed side of the bag to make visual product identification easier. To increase the hanging capacity of the bags, we’ve added a second hanging hole on our larger bags and a new double-sealed header on all bag sizes. The sombrero shaped hanging holes provide compatibility with a wider variety of hook sizes and shapes.
November 1, 2018 Customers may notice that some Tregaskiss® parts and consumables are arriving in different bags. We transitioned from a black bag design to a white bag design. This new white bag design has a clear window on the back side of the bag to help make visual product identification easier, and the durability and hanging holes remain the same as our previous black bag packaging.

Bernard FILTAIR™ fume extraction MIG guns are transitioning under the Clean Air™ brand name and will become our Bernard® Clean Air™ curved handle series fume extraction MIG guns. November 30, 2017 Effective immediately, all 8- and 12-foot length options in the BTB semi-automatic air-cooled MIG gun product lineup will be discontinued. BTB MIG guns will continue to be available in lengths of 10-, 15-, 20- and 25-feet. No other configurable options have been affected by this change. July 24, 2017 As of December 31, 2017, legacy TOUGH GUN® ThruArm® G1 series product for ABB® IRB1600ID configurations will be discontinued, and effective immediately, lead time for part number 508-200ABB will be 15 days. Our legacy TOUGH GUN ThruArm G1 series was replaced by our TOUGH GUN TA3 series in 2014, but although A58G1S connector housing is the replacement for 508-200ABB connector housing, this unit will change tool center point (TCP) by approximately 1.428″. For those customers using a 508-200ABB with a 405-22QC neck, we will be able to develop a special 22-degree neck for use with the A58G1S module to match their existing TCP. However, due to a length restriction in manufacturing, we will not be able to match TCP for those customers using a 508-200ABB with a 405-45QC neck. In this case, reprogramming will be necessary when switching to an A58G1S. Additionally, when transitioning from the 508-200ABB to the A58G1S, the 58SA004 LSR Unicable will need to be replaced with the 58SA024 LSR Unicable, as the cable to torch connection is also different. April 28, 2017 An improvement has been made to the nozzle detect option for our TOUGH GUN® TT3 reamer. This same option is also now available on our TOUGH GUN TT3E reamer. This new nozzle detect uses a proximity sensor mounted on the side of the reamer that can be used independently of the ream cycle and is compatible with any nozzle size. The robot positions the front end of the MIG gun close to the sensor to detect the presence of the nozzle. If the nozzle is present, a signal is then sent back to the robot controller or PLC. April 28, 2017 Upgrades have been made to the TOUGH GUN® TT3 reamer to allow for a more common design between this model and the TOUGH GUN TT3E reamer. These upgrades include a common frame, replacement of the terminal strip with a new wiring harness, easy access setup switches, and a new check valve. April 15, 2017 The check valve on the TOUGH GUN® TT3 and TT3E reamer robotic nozzle cleaning stations have been upgraded to a more robust and durable design.
